Up at 6:30, breakfast at 7:00 on the road at 8:00! We had another 12 hour day to arrive in Leavenworth, Washington. Stopped at the “Last Spike” for the Canadian Railroad.
Stopped at a fruit stand for a rest room break and many enjoyed the fruit and ice cream. Late lunch was at a Thai restaurant, Dream Café, in Pendicton, B.C. Food was interesting and good.
We headed on for a 45 minute ride to the border crossing. At the crossing we had to all get off the coach and walk into the building and show our passports. Colleen said they wanted all our carry on luggage to go off with us, but she convinced them not to have us do that! About 45 minutes later, we were back on the coach and into the USA!
We arrived at our our hotel in Leavenworth, Washington about 7:30 pm. This is a Bavarian town – beautiful buildings, flowers and stores. Supper was German – bratwurst, wiener schnitzel, etc.
Our room was wonderful!
