Up at 6:30 am, breakfast at 7:00 and on the bus at 8:00. We stopped at Grande Cache, Alberta for our morning break. Visited a neat Visitor Center with fossils of dinosaurs that have been found in the area. Left the prairie and are headed towards the Rocky Mountains again. We have been watching videos on the coach of areas we are visiting along with John Wayne’s “North to Alaska”!
We have enjoyed our time on the coach – even if there are some long hours some days. We all had to write down 2 truths and a lie. We have enjoyed learning more about others by hearing these and trying to figure out the lie. Bob stumped everyone on his! His lie, “I am an Eagle Scout!”
The bird picture is of a Ptarmigan that Bob met on the mountain trail. He got a cute video of it scratching and digging for food!
We arrived in Jasper about 12:30. We took the Jasper Tram to the top of Mt. Whistler and had lunch in the restaurant. The view was beautiful! Clear sky so we could see mountains all around us. The tram took us up about 3,000 feet! We had time to walk up the mountain a while then back to the tram and down.
The bus dropped us off downtown for an hour of walking. Then we headed to Pyramid Lake to check it out. Again, nice lake with beautiful mountains all around. Dinner was at the hotel then we headed to our room and bed!
